The Palacio de Najera is an 18th-century palace on Plaza Coso Viejo that houses Antequera’s municipal museum, the Museo de la Ciudad de Antequera. The reason to go is the Efebo de Antequera, a Roman bronze of a young man counted among the finest found in Spain, displayed here in a quiet provincial museum instead of a crowded national one. The rest of the collection covers local history from prehistory to the present, which makes it a handy indoor stop when the weather turns.
