The Dragon Bridge is an art nouveau bridge guarded by four dragon statues, the symbol of Ljubljana. Free to cross. Built in 1901, it was one of the first reinforced concrete bridges in Europe. The dragons are photographed more than any other landmark in the city. Budget travelers cross it on the way to or from the Central Market and pause to admire the detail of the cast-iron dragons.
