Split Fish Market
The Split Fish Market (Peskarija) is located inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace, in the original Roman basement halls. Free to browse. Fresh Adriatic fish, octopus, and shellfish are displayed on ice. The market opens early morning and is done by noon. Budget travelers visit the fish market to see the Roman basement halls in their most alive state, then eat at the cheap konobas nearby.
