Beach in Split

Bacvice Beach

Bacvice is Split’s most popular city beach, a sandy cove east of the ferry port. Free. Locals play picigin (a traditional ball game played in shallow water) here year-round. The beach is small and gets crowded in summer, but the atmosphere is pure Split. Budget travelers swim, watch the picigin players, and eat from the cheap bakeries and burek shops a block inland instead of the beachfront restaurants.
