Split Cathedral
The Cathedral of Saint Domnius was originally the mausoleum of Emperor Diocletian, making it one of the oldest cathedral buildings in the world. The exterior and the Peristyle are free. The cathedral interior and the bell tower climb are paid at modest prices. The tower offers a bird’s-eye view over the palace complex and the harbor. Budget travelers pay the small tower fee for one of the best viewpoints in Split.
