The San Lorenzo Market is an outdoor market surrounding the Basilica di San Lorenzo, famous for leather goods (jackets, bags, belts, wallets). Free to browse. Haggling is expected and prices drop significantly from the starting offer. The quality varies wildly. Budget travelers browse without buying on the first pass, compare quality, return to negotiate, and potentially get a genuine Italian leather item for a fraction of shop prices.
