Mercado da Ribeira / Time Out Market
The Mercado da Ribeira is a market building near Cais do Sodre that houses both a traditional morning market (fresh produce, meat, fish) and the Time Out Market food hall (curated vendors from Lisbon’s top chefs). Free to enter. The traditional market side is cheaper. The Time Out side is mid-range but sharable. Budget travelers visit the traditional market in the morning for cheap produce and the Time Out side for lunch, splitting plates to keep costs down.
