The wooden houses along Karaimų Street belong to the Karaite community, a Turkic people brought to Trakai in the 14th century. Walking the street with its colorful three-windowed houses is free. Trying a kibinai (traditional Karaite pasty) from a local bakery is one of Lithuania’s cheapest authentic food experiences.
