Courtyard in Oxford

Christ Church College

Christ Church is the largest and most famous Oxford college, with a cathedral (the smallest in England), a Great Hall that inspired the Harry Potter dining hall, and the Tom Tower entrance. Entry is paid. Some colleges (like New College, Magdalen) are free or cheaper. Budget travelers who can afford one college visit choose Christ Church for the Hall and the cathedral. Those who cannot walk the free streets between the colleges and see Oxford’s architecture from outside.
