The Koza Han (Silk Market) is a 15th-century Ottoman caravanserai in the center of Bursa, built for the silk trade that made the city wealthy. Free to enter. The two-story courtyard with a mosque in the center still sells silk fabrics and scarves. The surrounding covered bazaar (Kapali Carsi) is also free to browse. Budget travelers drink tea in the courtyard, browse the silk stalls, and see the building that connected the Silk Road to the Ottoman Empire.
