City in Turkey

Bursa

2 things to see

Bursa is the first Ottoman capital and one of the cheaper city breaks in Turkey, famous for the Iskender kebab and its historic thermal baths. Like mosques across the country, the green mosque and the green tomb are free to enter, and the old covered bazaars and the sprawling Grand Mosque cost nothing to wander. It sits a short ferry-and-bus hop from Istanbul, which makes it an easy budget detour off the usual route.
