Antalya

2 things to see

Antalya’s old town, Kaleici, is a charming maze of Ottoman houses above a Roman harbor in Turkey, and wandering its lanes and the harbor edge costs nothing. Free public beaches sit close to the center, and the cliff-top waterfall parks make easy no-cost afternoons. Budget-friendly pensions tuck inside the old walls, which keeps it cheaper than the big resort strips outside town. Spring and autumn are the value sweet spot: warm enough to swim, far below peak summer prices, and an easy coastal counterpoint to Izmir.
