Kaleici

Kaleici is Antalya’s walled old town, a compact area of Ottoman houses, Roman ruins, and narrow streets tumbling down to a small harbor. Free to walk. Hadrian’s Gate (a Roman triumphal arch) marks the main entrance. The harbor, the old mosques, and the clock tower are all within the walls. Budget travelers stay in cheap pensions inside the old town and use Antalya as a base for the Turkish Riviera coast.
