Zadar Sea Organ

The Sea Organ is an architectural installation on Zadar’s waterfront: marble steps descending into the Adriatic with organ pipes built into the structure that play music generated by the movement of the waves. Free. Alfred Hitchcock reportedly called the sunset from this spot the most beautiful in the world. Budget travelers sit on the steps at dusk, listen to the sea play the organ, and watch the Sun Salutation (a solar-powered light installation next to it) come alive after dark.
