Black Lake (Crno Jezero)
A glacial lake surrounded by dense pine forest at the edge of Žabljak, within Durmitor National Park. The circular walking trail around the lake takes about an hour and is one of the most scenic easy hikes in Montenegro.

The small central square of Žabljak serves as the gateway to Durmitor’s trails, with a few affordable restaurants and outdoor gear shops. Free to walk, the square sits at 1,450 meters elevation and is the highest town center in the Balkans, giving it crisp mountain air year-round.
