Turning Torso and Western Harbor
The Turning Torso is a 190-meter twisting skyscraper in the Western Harbor (Vastra Hamnen) district, the tallest building in Scandinavia. Free to see from outside (the interior is residential, not open to public). The Western Harbor is a modern waterfront district with a free beach (Ribersborg, called “Ribban” by locals), a cold-water bathhouse (Kallbadhuset, small fee), and views across the Oresund to Copenhagen. Budget travelers walk from the old town to the Turning Torso, swim at Ribban beach for free, and see two countries from one shoreline.
