The City of Arts and Sciences is a futuristic complex of white buildings designed by Santiago Calatrava, set in the drained Turia riverbed. The exterior and the surrounding pools are free to enjoy and photograph.
Park in Valencia
Turia Gardens
The Turia Gardens are a 9-kilometer park running through the center of Valencia in the bed of the diverted Turia River. Free. The park connects the old town to the City of Arts and Sciences with cycling paths, running trails, playgrounds, football pitches, and the giant Gulliver play sculpture (free). Budget travelers rent a cheap bike and ride the full length of the park, the green spine of the city.
