Monument in Valencia

City of Arts and Sciences

The City of Arts and Sciences is a futuristic complex of white buildings designed by Santiago Calatrava, set in the drained Turia riverbed. The exterior and the surrounding pools are free to enjoy and photograph. The Oceanografic (Europe’s largest aquarium), the Science Museum, and the Hemisferic (IMAX) are paid individually. Budget travelers walk through the complex, admire the architecture for free, and pick one attraction if the budget allows.
