The Bummerlhaus on Steyr's Stadtplatz is consistently cited as the finest surviving secular Gothic building in Austria, its stone facade intricately carved, its corner bay window projecting over the square in the Gothic merchant style. The name comes from a small carved animal figure on the corner.
The point where the Steyr and Enns rivers meet below the old town, visible from several free bridges and paths. The view back toward the Stadtpfarrkirche and the pastel waterfront houses is Steyr's postcard shot.
