Sedlec Ossuary

The Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Church) is a small Gothic chapel in Kutna Hora decorated with the bones of approximately 40,000 people, arranged into chandeliers, coats of arms, and garlands. Entry is paid at a modest price. The chapel is the most macabre and unforgettable attraction within day-trip distance of Prague. Budget travelers take the cheap train from Prague (1 hour), visit the ossuary, walk to Kutna Hora’s old town center (free), and return by evening.
