The Schnoor is Bremen’s oldest neighborhood, a tiny medieval quarter of narrow lanes (some just one meter wide), half-timbered houses, and small shops. Free to walk. The name comes from the rope-making trade (Schnur = string). Budget travelers walk through in 15 minutes and find the most intimate medieval quarter in Northern Germany.
