Comillas Beach
A sheltered sandy beach framed by green hillsides and the silhouette of the Pontifical University on the cliff above. Free and uncrowded outside July and August, it is one of Cantabria's most scenic swimming spots.

A neo-Gothic palace on the hilltop designed by Joan Martorell, Gaudi’s mentor, now a private university. The exterior and surrounding grounds are visible for free from the beach and access road, dominating Comillas’s skyline.
