Street in San Sebastian

Parte Vieja

Parte Vieja (Old Town) is the compact grid of narrow streets at the base of Monte Urgull, famous for the densest concentration of pintxos bars in the Basque Country. Free to walk. Pintxos (Basque tapas) are displayed on the bar counters and cost 2-3 euros each. Budget travelers bar-hop through Parte Vieja, eating one or two pintxos at each stop, and get a world-class gastronomic experience for less than the price of a sit-down restaurant meal.
