A lavish Art Nouveau city hall from 1910 with colourful Zsolnay ceramic tiles and ornate ironwork. The exterior alone is worth the trip, and guided tours of the interior are very affordable.

A shallow lake 8 kilometres east of the city with a free promenade, Art Nouveau pavilions, a zoo, and a beach. Popular with locals and reachable by cheap local bus from the centre.
