Palace in Granada
Palace of Charles V
The Palace of Charles V is a Renaissance circular courtyard inside the Alhambra complex, built by the Holy Roman Emperor after the Reconquista. Free to enter (no Alhambra ticket required for this section). The Museo de Bellas Artes inside (free) and the Museo de la Alhambra (free) are both housed in the palace. Budget travelers who miss out on Alhambra interior tickets can still enter the Charles V palace, visit both free museums, and walk the free exterior areas of the Alhambra grounds.
