Viewpoint in Granada

Mirador de San Nicolas

The Mirador de San Nicolas is a stone terrace in the Albaicin neighborhood with the single most famous view of the Alhambra: the palace complex with the Sierra Nevada mountains behind it, best seen at sunset. Free. Street musicians play flamenco guitar on the terrace most evenings. Budget travelers climb through the Albaicin in the late afternoon, claim a spot at the railing, and watch the Alhambra turn from white to gold to pink as the sun sets. The best free sunset view in Spain.
