Metropol Parasol
The Metropol Parasol (locally called Las Setas, the Mushrooms) is a massive wooden structure in the Plaza de la Encarnacion, the largest wooden structure in the world. The rooftop walkway charges a small fee that includes a drink voucher for a nearby bar. Roman ruins in the basement are included. Budget travelers pay the modest fee, walk the undulating rooftop at sunset, and redeem the drink voucher afterward. The view over the old town is excellent.
