Free hiking trails through Latvia's oldest national park lead to multiple viewpoints over sandstone cliffs and the forested Gauja River valley. The panorama from the cable car station side is especially striking in autumn.
A cable car crossing the Gauja River valley at 43 metres above the river, connecting Sigulda to Krimulda on the opposite bank. The ride is short but the views over the national park are worth the very modest fare.
