Gondola Traghetto
A traghetto is a gondola ferry that crosses the Grand Canal at points where there is no bridge, for a fraction of the cost of a tourist gondola ride (about 2 euros, standing up). Free to watch. The traghetto crossings operate at several points along the Grand Canal during daytime hours. Budget travelers ride a traghetto across the Grand Canal and stand in a gondola for 2 euros instead of paying 80+ euros for a tourist ride. The crossing takes 2 minutes but the gondola experience is real.

Basilica dei Frari
