This riverside park along the Lee is Cork’s main green space, with formal gardens, a bandstand, a sculpture garden, a pond, and the free Cork Public Museum inside the grounds. The Shakey Bridge (a suspension footbridge that wobbles when you walk on it) connects the park to Sunday’s Well, and walking through the park from the city center to University College Cork is a peaceful, cost-free route. Budget travelers walk through the park, visit the free museum, and cross the Shakey Bridge for the novelty.
