Castle Hill
Castle Hill (Colline du Chateau) is the rocky park at the eastern end of the Promenade des Anglais, with ruins of the old castle, a waterfall, and the best panoramic views in Nice. Free. The climb from the Old Town takes 10 minutes, or a free elevator runs from the Quai des Etats-Unis. From the top, the view stretches from the Baie des Anges to the port and the hills behind the city. Budget travelers take the elevator up and walk down through the park.
