Bourtzi Castle

Bourtzi is a small Venetian fortress on an island in Nafplio’s harbor, one of the most photographed castles in Greece. Boat taxis from the waterfront cost a few euros. The castle exterior is the attraction (interior access varies). Budget travelers photograph Bourtzi from the waterfront promenade and take the cheap boat for a closer look.
