Castle in Bodrum

Bodrum Castle

Bodrum Castle (Castle of St Peter) is a 15th-century Crusader fortress built by the Knights Hospitaller, dominating the harbor. Entry is paid at a modest price. The castle houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. The harbor promenade around the castle is free and offers views of the castle, the marina, and the Aegean. Budget travelers walk the waterfront, photograph the castle from the marina, and decide whether the museum justifies the ticket.
