The Bergisel Ski Jump is a modernist jumping tower designed by Zaha Hadid on the hill south of Innsbruck, host of two Winter Olympics. The cafe and observation deck at the top are paid. The surrounding park and the exterior are free. Budget travelers take the cheap tram to Bergisel, walk the grounds, and photograph the jump against the mountain backdrop. The panoramic view from the top is the best in Innsbruck for those who pay the modest fee.
