Barceloneta Seafront Walk
The Barceloneta seafront runs from the W Hotel (the sail-shaped building) along the boardwalk past Barceloneta Beach to the Port Olimpic. Free. Frank Gehry’s golden fish sculpture marks the midpoint. The chiringuitos (beach bars) serve drinks and snacks at beach prices. Budget travelers walk the full boardwalk, swim for free, eat a cheap bocadillo from a Barceloneta bakery instead of the beach bars, and see Barcelona’s entire Mediterranean frontage.
