Castle in Segovia

Alcazar of Segovia

The Alcazar of Segovia is a fairy-tale castle on a rocky crag where the Eresma and Clamores rivers meet, said to have inspired Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle. Entry is paid at a modest price. The exterior and the approach along the cliff path are free and dramatic. Budget travelers walk the exterior circuit for free, photograph the castle from the path below, and pay the ticket if they want to see the throne room and the tower view.
