Early 20th-century palace ringed by gardens in the south of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the official residence of the Lehendakari, the president of the Basque Country. The interior is closed to the public as a working seat of government, but the building and its grounds are free to view from outside. It gave its name to the 1988 Ajuria Enea Pact signed here by Basque political parties. The surrounding parkland makes an easy no-cost stop on a walk that already includes the old town’s free-to-view palaces such as Escoriaza-Esquivel Palace, Montehermoso Palace, and Palace of Villa-Suso.
