Acropolis Museum
The Acropolis Museum is a modern glass museum at the foot of the Acropolis, housing the sculptures, friezes, and artifacts from the Parthenon and the other Acropolis buildings. Entry is paid. The top floor is oriented exactly to the Parthenon above, with the original Caryatid columns (five of the six originals are here; the sixth is in the British Museum, a fact the museum makes clear). Budget travelers pay the ticket and see the art that the Parthenon was built to contain, in a museum designed to frame the building it came from.
