Alanya Shipyard
Five arched stone chambers carved into the cliffside below Alanya Castle, built in 1228 as a Seljuk naval dockyard. One of the few surviving medieval shipyards in the world.
Cleopatra Beach
A long stretch of fine sand on the western side of Alanya's peninsula, named after a legend linking it to Cleopatra. Free to access, with clear turquoise water and a backdrop of the castle walls above.
Lovers Cave
A small sea cave along Alanya's castle peninsula, reachable by boat tour. Named after a local romance legend.
Phosphorescent Cave
A sea cave near Alanya known for the eerie glow of light reflecting off the water and mineral-rich walls. Accessible only by boat, it is a standard stop on the budget harbour boat tours circling the peninsula.
Pirates Cave
A sea cave at the base of Alanya's castle peninsula, accessible only by boat. Named for its legend as a smugglers' hideout.
Red Tower
A 13th-century octagonal Seljuk defence tower at Alanya harbour, built to protect the adjacent shipyard. The tower houses a small ethnographic museum with a low entry fee and offers views over the harbour and coastline.
Ulas Beach
A small public beach west of Alanya centre, quieter than Cleopatra Beach and popular with locals. Free access with basic facilities.
