The Saxon Garden (Ogrod Saski) is Warsaw’s oldest public park, a formal garden in the city center with a baroque fountain, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (with an eternal flame and a changing of the guard ceremony, free), and shaded paths. Free. The garden was opened to the public in 1727 and is one of the first public parks in the world. Budget travelers walk through, watch the guard change at noon, and rest in a park that has been free for three centuries.
