Rustem Pasha Mosque
Rustem Pasha Mosque is a small 16th-century mosque hidden above the shops near the Spice Bazaar, designed by the architect Sinan. Free. The interior is covered floor to ceiling with Iznik tiles in blues, reds, and greens, making it one of the most beautiful small mosques in Istanbul. Most tourists walk past without knowing it exists. Budget travelers climb the staircase from the street, enter for free, and find a tile collection that rivals anything in the larger mosques.
