Bridge in Ronda

Puente Nuevo

The Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) spans the 120-meter El Tajo gorge in Ronda, connecting the old town to the new town above a sheer cliff drop. Free to cross. The view from the bridge and from the viewpoints on the gorge rim is one of the most dramatic in Andalusia. Budget travelers take the cheap bus from Malaga (2 hours), walk across the bridge, peer over the edge, and explore the old town on the clifftop. The bullring (one of the oldest in Spain) and the gorge viewpoints are all within walking distance.
