Pecs Cathedral
Pecs Cathedral is an 11th-century Romanesque cathedral rebuilt multiple times, dominating the Domplatz at the top of the old town. Free to enter the nave. The four towers, the crypt (one of the oldest in Hungary), and the surrounding Bishop’s Palace are the highlights. Budget travelers walk up from the main square through the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter and arrive at a cathedral that has been the spiritual center of southern Hungary for a thousand years.
