Machines de l'Ile
Les Machines de l’Ile is a fantastical art project in Nantes’ former shipyards, featuring a 12-meter mechanical elephant that walks and sprays water, a three-story carousel of deep-sea creatures, and a gallery of kinetic machines. The elephant ride is paid. Watching the elephant walk from outside is free. Budget travelers watch the elephant from the plaza and decide whether the ride is worth the ticket. Nothing like this exists anywhere else in Europe.
