Macca-Vilacrosse Passage
The Macca-Vilacrosse Passage is a fork-shaped glass-roofed arcade in the center of Bucharest, built in the 1890s and bathed in amber light from the yellow glass canopy. Free to walk through. The passage connects Calea Victoriei to the National Bank building and holds small cafes and shisha bars. Budget travelers walk through for the light, the architecture, and the feeling of stepping into a 19th-century European arcade that most cities have lost.
