Juliet's Balcony
Juliet’s Balcony (Casa di Giulietta) is a 14th-century house with a small balcony in Via Cappello, attributed to Shakespeare’s Juliet. The courtyard is free (touching Juliet’s bronze statue for luck is free). The balcony and house interior are paid at a modest price. The walls of the entrance passage are covered in love notes and graffiti. Budget travelers visit the courtyard for free and decide whether the balcony justifies the ticket. It is the most visited site in Verona.

Piazza dei Signori
The Piazza dei Signori is Verona's civic rather than commercial square, separated from the busier Piazza delle Erbe by a covered passage. Where the Erbe was the market, the Signori was where the Scaligeri lords and later the Venetian governors conducted public business.
