Holstentor

The Holstentor is a 15th-century brick gate with two cylindrical towers that leans visibly to one side, the symbol of Lubeck and one of the most iconic medieval structures in Germany. Free to see from outside. The museum inside (paid, modest) covers the city’s Hanseatic trade history. Budget travelers photograph the gate from the park in front and walk through it into the old town.
