Gros Horloge

The Gros Horloge is a 16th-century astronomical clock mounted on an arch spanning the main shopping street, connecting the cathedral to the Place du Vieux Marche (where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431). Free to see from the street. The clock face shows the hours, the day of the week, and the phases of the moon. Budget travelers walk under the arch, photograph the clock, and continue to the Joan of Arc memorial and church on the market square.
