Cave in Nottingham

City of Caves

A network of over 500 sandstone caves beneath Nottingham, used for centuries as homes, workshops, tanneries, and air-raid shelters. Guided tours run from the Broadmarsh area. Entry is paid but reasonably priced, and the underground history is unlike anything else in England.
