The Central Park (Parcul Central Simion Barnutiu) is a green space around a lake south of the old town, with a casino building on an island (now a cultural center), rowing boats (cheap), and shaded walking paths. Free. Budget travelers walk from the old town through the park to the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania (paid, modest, outdoor section with traditional houses) and see Cluj at its most relaxed.
